The Skip Nymph light - Nymph - was created by Skip Morris to be a fly that combined the deadly qualities of the Hare's Ear Nymph and the Pheasant Tail Nymph. The light Skip Nymph is particularly effective at the beginning of a mayfly hatch when the nymphs are rising to the surface. This fly can be used with great ease as a searching pattern. The depth that this fly can be fished is negotiable as it is all dependent on what depth the nymph's themselves are.
